Tirupur: The annual "Win the Prize" quiz, hosted by Pattam Magazine, the student edition of Dinamalar, brought out the competitive spirit in young participants eager to showcase their knowledge.

Since its inception in 2018, this quiz competition has aimed to enhance students' knowledge, spark interest in research-oriented learning, and foster a positive attitude toward examinations.

This year's event, organized in collaboration with Chennai Institute of Technology and SSVM Institutions with sponsorship from Satya Agencies, includes participation from over 150 schools across Coimbatore, Tirupur, and Nilgiris districts.

The event structure begins with school-level competitions. The top performers from each school advance to the semi-finals, where eight teams will eventually qualify for the final round and compete for attractive prizes.

Yesterday, Dee Public Matric Higher Secondary School in Palangarai near Avinasi hosted one of these qualifying rounds. Twenty students participated in the preliminary stage, with the sixteen highest scorers forming eight teams, labeled A to H.

In a closely contested three-round battle, Team D members, ninth-grade students Kailash and Abhinavnithin, emerged as the winners.

School Principal Dorothy Rajendran, along with coordinators Amutha and Sudha, presented medals and certificates to the top performers, applauding their hard work and enthusiasm.
