New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged students not to believe that exams are the sole determinant of their future.
Since 2018, PM Modi has been engaging with students through Pariksha Pe Charcha, an annual initiative where he shares insights on exam preparation and stress management. As part of this, a discussion was held in Delhi, bringing together 36 selected students from across the country.
During the interaction, PM Modi emphasized the importance of holistic growth. He stated that good health goes beyond the absence of illness, highlighting the role of proper sleep and nutrition.
Addressing academic pressure, he noted that low marks often create tension at home, but students should not let this stress consume them. Instead, they should focus on learning and self-improvement. He advised that students should not isolate themselves but explore their interests freely.
Encouraging a growth mindset, he said, “A true leader is one who understands and resolves challenges, not just preaches. Respect is not demanded; it is earned through one's actions and behavior.” He urged students to observe and learn from the conduct of leaders rather than merely listening to their words.
PM Modi stressed that students are not robots and that education should foster overall development. He warned against being confined to textbooks alone, stating that pursuing one's passions leads to better performance in exams.
He reiterated that exams are just one part of life and that students should focus on gaining knowledge and developing writing habits for a well-rounded education.
