Chennai: IIT Madras has partnered with the National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, to offer an Executive MBA program in 'Strategic Leadership and Public Policy.'

This one-year program ( 48-week program ), aims to prepare senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces, Civil Services, and friendly foreign nations for higher leadership roles.

The program will blend lecture-based courses with practical modules, including a thesis component.

The program is aimed at fostering intellectual growth and strategic thinking among selected officers from the Indian Armed Forces, Civil Services, and friendly foreign countries.

Faculty from IIT Madras and NDC will lead the courses, with an emphasis on technology-driven leadership and policy issues, such as AI and cybersecurity.

The MoU was signed by senior officials from both institutions on 27th August 2024 in New Delhi.

Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, highlighted the program's significance in preparing leaders equipped with modern technological expertise for strategic decision-making.
