Chennai: The Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2025 is the gateway for students aspiring to pursue science-based master's degree programs in India's premier institutions is scheduled to be held on 2 Feb 2025.

Through JAM, candidates can secure admission to various courses such as M.Sc., M.Sc.-Tech, M.S. (Research), dual degree M.Sc.-M.Tech., joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., and M.Sc.-Ph.D. programs.

Participating Institutions and Seats: For the academic year 2025-26, admissions to 3,000 seats across 89 postgraduate programs in 22 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) will be based on JAM scores.

Additionally, 2,300 seats in prestigious institutions including IISc, NITs, TIAT, IIEST, IISER Pune, IIPE Bhopal, JNCASR, and SLIET will also be filled via JAM.

Candidates with an undergraduate degree in relevant fields, completed by 2025, can apply. There is no age limit for this exam.

The test will cover seven subjects: Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematics, and Physics. Exam centers will be spread across 100 cities in India.

National rankings will be prepared based on subject-wise marks, with admissions following the Government of India's reservation policy.

Last date to apply is 11 October, 2024 and the exam is tabled to be held on 2 February, 2025.
