Chennai: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that students must apply online for the NEET eligibility test for undergraduate medical admissions by March 7.

Admissions to MBBS, BDS, and All India quota seats in Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, and Veterinary courses in government and private institutions are based on NEET. Similarly, NEET is now mandatory for B.Sc. Nursing in military nursing colleges. The exam is conducted annually by NTA.

Exam in 13 Languages
The NEET 2025-26 exam will be held online on May 4 in 13 languages, including Tamil, English, and Hindi. Online registration began on February 7, and candidates must apply by March 7 through neet.nta.nic.in.

The exam fees are Rs1,700 for General Category; Rs 1,600/ for OBC/EWS; Rs1,000 for SC/ ST in addition to GST and Service charges.

One-Time Application
Candidates must apply only once. The exam duration is 3 hours and 20 minutes. Hall tickets will be available on May 1, and results will be declared on June 14.
