Chennai: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Chennai will organize Craft Bazaar 2025 - 'Pokkisham' from February 28 to March 1, 2025, at its campus.

The event, part of NIFT's Craft Cluster Initiative, aims to support local artisans by providing a platform to showcase and sell their handcrafted products.

The bazaar will feature 27 artisans from 18 craft clusters, including Thirukkanur Papier Mache, Pulicat Palm Leaf Craft, and Madurai Handlooms. Artisans will receive free stalls, wage loss compensation, travel allowance, lodging, and boarding.

The event will be inaugurated by Shri C. Muthusamy, Director (South Zone), Weavers' Service Center, on February 28 at 11:00 AM, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Divya Satyan, Campus Director, NIFT Chennai.
