Chennai: Casagrand International School hosted the inaugural "School Olympics," one of Chennai's largest inter-school sports events, bringing together over 1,400 athletes from 77 schools across Tamil Nadu.

The competition, spanning grades 1 to 12, featured thrilling races, long jump, shot put, and relays, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of unity and sportsmanship.

The event began with the hoisting of the national flag and a troop parade, followed by the ceremonial torch lighting. Ms. Dorothy Thomas, Correspondent of Casagrand International School, officially declared the Olympics open.

In addition to individual events, the Olympics included team competitions, with winners receiving medals, trophies, and cash prizes. The overall champion earned ₹20,000, while the runner-up received ₹10,000.

Mr. Dwarakesh P, COO of Casagrand International School, emphasized the importance of such events in shaping holistic development by promoting physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork.

The event concluded with a medal ceremony, honoring top performers.
