Puducherry: A shocking incident occurred in Puducherry, where a Plus-2 student allegedly injured himself due to extreme exam fear, causing panic in the area.

The student, the son of a couple residing on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Road, has been studying in a private school. Reports suggest he had been under severe stress over his upcoming public exams.

On Wednesday, he suddenly threw household items onto the street in a distressed state. In a fit of agitation, he picked up a piece of glass, threatened his parents, and inflicted severe injuries on his hand.

Upon being alerted, Periyakade police arrived at the scene, calmed the student, and safely removed the glass from his grasp.

The incident has left residents alarmed, highlighting concerns over exam-related stress among students.
