Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi interacted with college students from Chennai at the Congress headquarters in Delhi, expressing his enthusiasm and sharing candid moments during the discussion.
With the Congress facing a series of electoral setbacks, Rahul has been actively engaging with young minds to understand their perspectives and strengthen the party's connection with the youth. As part of this initiative, he has been inviting college students from across the country for interactive sessions.
A Warm Exchange
A group of 125 students, including several from Chennai State College, visited Delhi for the event. After observing parliamentary proceedings, they participated in a discussion led by Tamil Nadu Congress Student Wing President Chinnathambi at the party headquarters on Janpath Road.
During the session, the students answered Rahul's questions confidently, while he, in turn, responded to theirs. Clearly excited by the exchange, Rahul warmly embraced the students, who cheered and captured the moment with selfies.
Students' Perspective
Reflecting on their experience, the students shared, “We stayed in Delhi for three days. Rahul asked about Tamil Nadu Congress leadership and which national leader we admire. When we said we liked him, he curiously asked why. We told him we respect his efforts to unite India, his simplicity, and his commitment to fitness. We also appreciated his bold stance in Parliament.”
A Joyful Farewell
In a lighthearted moment, Rahul even signed a dessert for the students. Overwhelmed with excitement, some students playfully kissed him, and he reciprocated with warm hugs.
Before concluding, he encouraged them to uphold democratic and secular values.
