Jaipur: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a new Sainik School in Jaipur, Rajasthan, established through a public-private partnership.

This initiative is part of a broader plan to set up 100 Sainik schools across India, with collaboration between state governments, NGOs, and the private sector.

So far, 45 schools have been approved by the Ministry of Defense, with 40 already operational.

Speaking at the event, Singh highlighted the importance of these schools in preparing patriotic youth to join the defense forces.

He emphasized the contributions of Rajasthan's historical heroes, such as Maharana Pratap and Prithviraj Chauhan, in inspiring younger generations to serve the nation.

Singh noted that the collaboration between the public and private sectors will enhance the quality of education for future leaders.

He also acknowledged the distinguished alumni of Sainik Schools, such as Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and Navy Commander Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, and encouraged students to pursue excellence in any profession.

The event was attended by Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and State Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore (Retd), among other dignitaries.
