Chennai: Shrine Vailankani Senior Secondary School, recently celebrated its Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years of educational excellence and community service.
Founded in 1964, the school has been a leader in delivering innovative education and fostering academic and personal growth.
Mrs. B.K.K. Pillai, Correspondent, highlighted the school's commitment to pioneering educational methods.
Secretary K.T. Pillai announced future infrastructure upgrades, including AI labs and interactive learning spaces, to integrate Generative AI into the curriculum. These developments aim to enhance student learning with cutting-edge technology.
The event honored several distinguished individuals: Dr. K. Ganesan, Mrs. Shyamala Jayaprakash, Mrs. Sheela Rajendra, Mr. L.S. Prabhakaran, and Dr. Asha Boaz for their contributions to education. Distinguished Alumni Awards were presented to Mr. T. Venkatarangan and Dr. J. Hariharan.
Dr. G. Viswanathan, Chancellor of VIT, advocated for increasing medical school admissions in India to retain talented students domestically. Mr. Dinesh Ram, Regional Officer, emphasized the need for aligning education with global standards and emerging technologies.
Principal Mrs. Manasa Pillai reaffirmed the school's dedication to integrating the latest advancements into its curriculum. The Jubilee celebration featured an open house and showcased student achievements in STEM, reflecting the school's ongoing commitment to educational innovation and community engagement.
