Chennai: The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has introduced online certificate courses on skill development for students in classes 9 to 12 as part of its career guidance initiative.

These courses, covering a range of topics with 10-15 lessons per category, are offered through the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation under the Nan Mudhalvan scheme.

According to an official circular, students and teachers in high and higher secondary schools can access the courses through hi-tech laboratories after school hours.

Students can log in to the Nan Mudhalvan website using their EMIS ID.

Chief Educational Officers have been instructed to ensure that headmasters encourage students and teachers to enroll. Career guidance teachers in schools have been designated as coordinators for the initiative.

Officials stated that these courses will assist students in making informed decisions about higher education and career paths.
