Chennai: The Directorate of Technical Education announced the start of engineering counseling, which will commence on July 22nd.

The counseling process applies to admission into more than 450 engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University for B.E. and B.Tech. programs.

Earlier in June, applications were accepted online, with a total of 2.29 lakh applicants. Of these, 1.87 lakh paid the application fee and 1.55 lakh uploaded their certificates.

The rank list, based on plus 2 marks and cutoffs, has been published today, July 10th, on the official website https://www.tneaonline.org/

K Veera Raghava Rao , Commissioner, Directorate of Technical Education highlighted that more than 36,500 applicants from government schools applied for counseling. The counseling sessions will run from July 22nd to September 11th, with specific dates allocated for different categories of applicants: July 22nd and 23rd for differently abled persons and athletes, and from July 29th for general category students. Supplementary counseling will take place from September 6th to 8th.

Toshita Lakshmi from Chengalpattu with a perfect score of 200 out of 200 ranked first, followed by Nilanjana from Tirunelveli in second place, and Gokul from Namakkal in third place. Ravani from Salem topped the 7.5% quota category with a score of 199.50.
