Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has announced the results for the Group-1 examination yesterday.

The Group-1 exam, which aims to fill 90 officer-level vacancies across various departments, was first announced on March 28.

The preliminary exams were held on July 13, and the names of the 1,907 successful candidates have been made available on the TNPSC website http://www.tnpsc.gov.in, as confirmed by Controller of Examinations John Lewis.

Candidates who have passed the preliminary exam are eligible to sit for the main examination, scheduled to take place in Chennai from December 10 to 13. Applications for the main exam will be accepted from September 6 to 15.
