Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is set to implement new software to streamline the evalauting process of exam answer sheets, aiming to address complaints of irregularities in the current correction system.
For Group 1 and Group 2 recruitment exams, the preliminary tests are based on Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets, while the main exams involve detailed written answers. In recent years, concerns have been raised over errors and inconsistencies in the evaluation process.
To rectify this, TNPSC will introduce GIS-based software that digitally scans answer sheets, segregates responses, and assigns them to professors for evaluation. This system ensures that the answers provided by candidates are accurately compared against the TNPSC guidelines.
The software also features a strict time limit for grading, enhancing efficiency and fairness. Following evaluation, subject-specific scores are calculated, and the final marks are generated.
TNPSC officials confirmed that this new procedure will be implemented in the near future to ensure a more transparent and reliable examination process.
