Delhi: Renowned theoretical physicist Dr. Brian Greene, currently on a visit to India, lauded the country's passion for science and innovation, calling the energy and curiosity among students “truly inspiring.”

During his visit to the Taj Mahal, Dr. Greene praised India's distinctive approach to education and scientific research, highlighting the ambition of Indian students to make a global impact.

Accompanying him, former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino, who has observed India from space, expressed admiration for its aesthetic appeal. "India is even more beautiful from the ground," he remarked, calling the Taj Mahal a testament to the country's rich legacy of engineering and design.

Dr. Greene and Massimino are currently exploring India's scientific, educational, and cultural heritage. Their visit underscores India's growing influence in global science and innovation.

Dr. Brian Greene, a professor at Columbia University, is known for his pioneering contributions to superstring theory, including co-discovering mirror symmetry and spatial topology change. Mike Massimino, a veteran NASA astronaut and professor of mechanical engineering at Columbia University, played a key role in Hubble Space Telescope servicing missions.

Their visit to the Taj Mahal bridges India's historical excellence in craftsmanship with its advancements in science, reinforcing the nation's role in the global scientific community.
