New York: Artificial Intelligence will not eliminate jobs but will transform work patterns, potentially reducing the workweek to four days, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has said.

“AI will not take away jobs. It will help streamline work,” Huang said in an interview on Thursday, adding that the technology's ability to complete time-consuming tasks in minutes will accelerate innovation rather than lead to unemployment.

“AI will make people work more creatively. The faster we finish a task, the more opportunities arise to explore new ideas,” he said.

Huang noted that AI will reshape the nature of every job while improving quality of life. “Every industrial revolution has brought social changes. The seven-day workweek became six, then five. The AI revolution could make it four,” he said.

Britain and the United States are already piloting a four-day workweek, reporting positive results, Huang added.

Nvidia, a U.S.-based company, supplies advanced software for AI research and training, which is expanding across multiple sectors.
