Chennai: Amrutha Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai, hosted its 3rd Convocation Ceremony for the B.Tech. 2021-25 batch, conferring degrees on 475 engineering graduates. The event marked a milestone in the institution's journey of nurturing innovation-driven professionals.

The ceremony was graced by Sri Padmakumar E.S., Director of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR), Sriharikota, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Sanoj Somasundaran, Chief Technology Officer of SKF India, as the Special Guest. The function was presided over by Sampujya Swami Ramakrishnanandapuri, Treasurer of the Mata Amruthanandamayi Math.

Delivering his keynote address, Sri Padmakumar urged graduates to embrace creativity and courage:
“Don't just follow others - find your own paths. Be motivated, curious, and bold enough to innovate for the future.”

Shri Sanoj Somasundaran, in his address, called the convocation a new beginning:
“This is the starting point of your journey. Success comes not only from skills but also from passion and gratitude. Keep learning, experiment fearlessly, and ensure your work benefits both society and the environment.”

The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean of the School of Engineering. Degrees were awarded in the presence of Registrar Dr. P. Ajith Kumar. A video message by Amma, Chancellor Sri Mata Amruthanandamayi Devi, inspired graduates to pursue excellence rooted in compassion. The ceremony concluded with Swami Ramakrishnanandapuri reciting Vedic principles from the Taittiriya Upanishad and administering the traditional convocation oath.

Academic excellence was recognized with medals and merit certificates for the top performers. Ms. Pappisetty Harshini, recipient of the Chancellor's Medal, expressed gratitude on behalf of the graduating class:
“It is a moment of immense joy and pride to graduate from Amrutha. We have not only received world-class education but also values and friendships that will guide us for life.”

The convocation underscored Amrutha's commitment to fostering innovation, ethical leadership, and holistic development among its students, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to society and the global technology landscape.
