Erode: Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) on Friday said its classroom programme student, Nikhil Sivananthan from its Erode centre, has emerged as the city topper in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 by securing All India Rank (AIR) 92.

Nikhil scored 691 out of 720 marks in the medical entrance examination, the institute said in a statement.

According to AESL, the student's performance reflected consistent preparation, discipline and academic support received through its structured coaching programme.

Expressing happiness over his achievement, Nikhil said securing AIR 92 was a dream come true and credited his parents and teachers for their constant encouragement and guidance.

"The regular mock tests, detailed performance analysis, doubt-solving sessions and disciplined classroom learning helped me strengthen my concepts and stay focused throughout my preparation. This achievement inspires me to work even harder towards becoming a successful doctor," he said.

AESL said its students performed strongly in NEET UG 2026, with four students securing positions in the top 10, 18 in the top 50 and 41 in the top 100 ranks at the national level.

Deputy Regional Director of AESL, T. Shiva Prasad, congratulated Nikhil on the achievement and said his discipline, consistency and willingness to learn had contributed to his success.

The institute said its learning model combines experienced faculty, structured study material, regular assessments, technology-enabled learning and personalised mentoring to prepare students for competitive examinations such as NEET.
