Chennai/Bengaluru: Accenture LearnVantage and the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Automotive Research (CAAR), established by IIT Madras, have partnered to deliver specialized skilling programs focused on Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). The initiative targets automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Global Capability Centers (GCCs), aiming to build a talent pipeline adept in cutting-edge digital automotive technologies.

The programs will be delivered through Accenture's SDV Academy and co-designed with IIT Madras experts. They will combine instructor-led sessions and self-paced modules, covering advanced IoT, embedded systems, vehicle safety, cybersecurity, edge computing, cloud virtualization, AUTOSAR, and ASPICE standards.

The collaboration addresses a growing demand for professionals equipped to design and develop intelligent, connected, and autonomous vehicles. According to Accenture Research, SDV-related digital services could generate USD 3.5 trillion globally by 2040, making up 40% of automotive industry revenues.

“This partnership is a game-changer in transforming talent for the SDV era,” said Kishore Durg, Global Head, Accenture LearnVantage.

CAAR CEO Thiruppathy Srinivasan emphasized the need for urgent upskilling amid rapid technological shifts in the industry, while Prof. Krishnan Balasubramanian called it a win-win academia-industry collaboration model.

The move builds on existing collaborations between Accenture and IIT Madras, including joint research in robotics and IIoT.
