Chennai: Aspiring nurses from Tamil Nadu have a unique opportunity to apply for free German language training to pursue nursing careers in Germany, as part of the state's Naan Mudhalvan initiative.

Application window closes on October 25.

Tamil Nadu's Naan Mudhalvan scheme, initiated by the Chief Minister, has launched diverse programs aimed at bridging education and employment gaps for youth.

Under its Naan Mudhalvan Finishing School program, aspiring nurses can apply for free German language training to unlock career opportunities in Germany, where there is high demand for skilled healthcare professionals.

The program collaborates with industry experts to equip students with field-specific skills.

Training begins on November 1, with classes held five days a week for eight hours a day across centers in Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore, and Madurai.

The course duration is 8 months for B2 proffiency.

Accommodation will be provided.

Successful candidates will earn German-recognized certification and secure well-paying jobs, with monthly salaries ranging from €2,600 to €4,300 (approx. INR 3 lakh).

The program also arranges visas and flights for selected candidates.

To qualify, applicants must be below 35, hold a B.Sc. Nursing or General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) qualification, and have over a year of experience.

The final date for application is October 25, and candidates can register via naanmudhalvan.tn.gov.in.
