Announcing this, AVP Managing Director P R Krishnakumar told reporters here that at a time when healthcare policies across the globe are revamping themselves, more and more countries are now looking for better healthcare options.
 
The AVP group has been spearheading important research and educational activities in the field of Ayurveda over the last seven decades, he said.
 
Krishnakumar said a joint tripartite research agreement signed between Latvia University, Ministry of AYUSH and AVP is expected to facilitate research on diabetes which could impact the huge population of diabetes patients throughout the world and especially in India.
 
The AVP Research Foundation is poised now to sign an MoU to conduct joint training programmes in USA in tie-up with South California University and in Korea through Indo-Korean collaborators.
 
Against this background, an international delegation of scientists, on a two-day visit here, is discussing policy recommendations on globalizing Ayurveda through Research and Education which would be submitted to the Union government for further perusal, Krishnakumar said.
      
The delegation include Dr Daniel Furst of the University of California at Los Angeles and Dr Simone Hunziker, President of the Swiss Professional Association for Ayurveda Practitioners and Therapists and Medical Director of SAMA-Swiss Ayurvedic Medical Academy.
