Chennai: BharatBenz, the flagship brand of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), has been conferred with the 'Well-Known Trademark' status by the Intellectual Property (IP) Office India.

This recognition highlights BharatBenz's strong brand value and its prominent presence in the Indian market, where it is widely recognized by customers and society.

Satyakam Arya, MD & CEO of DICV, expressed pride in the achievement, stating that BharatBenz's journey over the past 12 years reflects its commitment to innovation, performance, and safety. "This status underscores the trust our customers and partners place in us," he said, emphasizing BharatBenz's role in India's commercial vehicle sector.

Since its inception, BharatBenz has introduced advanced safety features, such as fully factory-built, air-conditioned metal cabins. The brand has been a pioneer in promoting safety standards, aligning with global norms like Europe's ECE R29-03.

BharatBenz's commitment extends to environmental standards, with the brand becoming the first to launch BSVI-compliant vehicles in 2020.

The 'Well-Known Trademark' status also strengthens legal protection under the Trademark Act, solidifying the brand's reputation and fostering consumer loyalty.

This milestone enhances BharatBenz's domestic and international standing.
