Coimbatore: Bharathiar University has invited applications for admission to its PhD research programmes offered on both full-time and part-time modes for the current academic session.

The programmes are available across various departments of the university, as well as in its affiliated colleges and recognized research institutes. Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the university's official website — www.b-u.ac.in — on or before October 31.

The application fee is ₹1,000 for general candidates and ₹500 for SC and ST applicants, payable online. Completed applications, along with necessary enclosures, must reach the Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, by 5.30 p.m. on October 31.

Admission to the PhD programmes will be based on a common entrance examination followed by an interview, the university said in a release. Candidates have been advised to visit the website for detailed information on eligibility criteria, research areas, and application procedures.
