Chennai: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Chennai, set up an engaging stall at the Chennai Science Festival 2025, which commenced on Wednesday at BM Birla Planetarium, Guindy.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 1,000 visitors, including students and college Standard Club members.
Organised by Science City since 2008, the annual festival features a mega science exhibition, lectures, panel discussions, and competitions.
This year's edition, running from March 26 to 28, is expected to attract over 5,000 visitors, including students from government and government-aided schools.
The BIS stall featured interactive exhibits, quizzes, and science-based games, offering a hands-on learning experience. Participants explored the role of BIS in ensuring quality standards through engaging activities.
The initiative aimed to foster curiosity, scientific temper, and awareness of standardization among students.
Science City's festival showcases exhibits from school and college students alongside stalls by premier research institutions and government departments.
With strong participation on the opening day, the BIS stall is expected to continue drawing interest over the next two days.
