Chennai: Buddhi Clinic on Friday hosted Neurofrontiers 2025, an international neuropsychiatry colloquium that brought together 25 leading experts from premier institutions across the US, the UK and Australia to discuss emerging approaches in brain and mind care.
Organised in partnership with the International Neuropsychiatric Association (INA) and the Global Neuropsychiatry Group (GNG), the two-day event focused on redefining clinical paradigms for complex neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders through interventional and integrative approaches.
Experts from Johns Hopkins University, Brown University, the University of Melbourne, Imperial College London and other institutions participated in the deliberations. The programme covered areas such as neurodevelopmental and behavioural disorders, functional neurological disorders, traumatic brain injury, neuromodulation, deep brain stimulation, artificial intelligence in diagnostics and emerging therapies.
A key highlight was the 'Buddhi Dialogue' on new frontiers in neuropsychiatry, featuring Prof Jay A Salpekar, Prof W Curt LaFrance Jr and Prof David Coghill, and moderated by Buddhi Clinic founder Dr Ennapadam S Krishnamoorthy.
“This colloquium reflects our vision of positioning India at the forefront of global neuropsychiatry,” Krishnamoorthy said.
The event also included hands-on workshops on functional electrical stimulation and non-invasive brain stimulation. Held in a hybrid format, the colloquium enabled participation from institutions across India and abroad, organisers said.
