New Delhi: Cambridge University Press & Assessment on Tuesday announced the results of its largest-ever March exam series held in India, with over 17,000 students from 420 schools receiving their results.
The March 2025 series saw a record-breaking 85,000 entries — an 11% rise from last year — marking a significant milestone in Cambridge's efforts to align with the Indian academic calendar.
Cambridge IGCSE recorded over 62,000 entries, up 12% from 2024, while Cambridge International AS & A Level entries grew by 10%, exceeding 20,000.
The increased uptake reflects the growing appeal of internationally benchmarked curricula that support admission timelines for Indian universities and global academic opportunities.
Vinay Sharma, Senior Vice President, International Education, Cambridge, said, “We extend our sincere congratulations to all learners in India receiving their March exam results. These results are a testament to their diligence and the commitment of their educators, parents and schools.”
The most sought-after subjects remained Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, indicating sustained interest in STEM. Notably, entries for IGCSE Biology rose by 16%, highlighting a growing inclination towards life sciences. Meanwhile, Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives saw a remarkable 24% increase, reflecting student interest in global issues and skills like critical thinking and problem-solving.
Economics and Business also featured prominently at the AS & A Level, ranking fourth and fifth, respectively — underscoring a strong interest in global economic trends.
More than 800 Indian schools now offer the Cambridge curriculum, which is delivered in over 10,000 schools across 160 countries. Cambridge plans to introduce the Checkpoint series in March 2026, further strengthening its alignment with Indian academic schedules.
Students in India can choose between March, June, and November series, offering greater flexibility in their academic journey.
