Chennai: Cambridge University Press has joined India's ambitious One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) initiative, aimed at advancing academic research across the country.

As part of this transformative project, Cambridge will provide access to 430 journals in fields such as Science, Technology & Medicine, and Humanities & Social Sciences.

ONOS, backed by the Government of India, ensures that 1.77 crore users from 6,380 government-funded institutions can access world-class academic content.

The initiative aligns with India's Vision 2047 for a developed nation and supports the National Education Policy 2020 by promoting a robust research ecosystem.

Mandy Hill, Managing Director of Academic Publishing at Cambridge, emphasized that ONOS directly supports the organization's mission to democratize knowledge and foster global research.

Through the initiative, Cambridge aims to boost Indian research by offering discounted publication fees and creating a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Arun Rajamani, Managing Director for South Asia, described ONOS as a "game-changer" for India's higher education sector, unlocking potential for innovative breakthroughs.

Cambridge's participation includes workshops, publishing guidance, and access to prestigious journals like Journal of Fluid Mechanics and British Journal of Psychiatry, ensuring Indian scholars have the resources to thrive.
