New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the issuance of a unique identification number called the 'APAAR' (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) for all school students.

The 'APAAR ID' has also been made mandatory for overseas Indian students enrolled in CBSE-affiliated schools abroad.

To obtain the APAAR ID, students must possess an Indian Aadhaar, as per CBSE guidelines.
