Chennai: Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) has invited applications for admission to its undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics for the 2026 academic year.

The institute offers B.S. (Hons) programmes in Mathematics, Mathematics and Computer Science, and Mathematics and Physics (four years each). At the postgraduate level, M.Sc. programmes are offered in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Data Science (two years each). Doctoral programmes are available in Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics.

Candidates applying for B.S. programmes should have passed Class 12 or its equivalent, while applicants for M.Sc. programmes must hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline. For PhD admission, candidates should have completed a master's degree in the relevant subject.

Admission to all programmes will be through a common entrance examination conducted by CMI.

The last date to apply is April 4, 2026, and the entrance examination will be held on May 2, 2026 at centres including Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Bengaluru, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad.
