New Delhi: CSIR's Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, with CSIR-SERC and CSIR Madras Complex, introduces 'Phenome India' - CSIR Health Cohort Knowledgebase (PI-CHeCK), a pioneering health initiative. Held from 8th to 11th March 2024, at CSIR Campus, Taramani, Chennai, the project goes beyond typical health check-ups, aiming to understand India's complex health landscape and tailor healthcare solutions. Led by Drs. S Maheswaran and P Vasudevan, with guidance from Dr. N. Anandavalli, the four-day camp saw 180 participants contributing diverse data for the long-term cohort study. 'Phenome India' promises personalized medicine advancements, leveraging collaborative expertise from various CSIR labs nationwide, and signifies a transformative leap in healthcare innovation.
