Chennai: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) has extended the deadline for selecting colleges under the first round of MBBS and BDS counselling in Tamil Nadu for the third time.

In a statement, the DMER said the deadline, which ended on Monday, has now been extended till August 16. Seat allotment will take place on August 17, and the final list will be published on August 18.

Students can download their allotment orders from 12 noon on August 18 to August 24, the announcement added.
