New Delhi: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Delhi has constituted a 10-member committee to review academic podcasts and e-content before their release on its SCERT Studio YouTube channel, according to an official order.
The move is aimed at ensuring quality, relevance and alignment of content with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, as well as SCERT and Directorate of Education guidelines.
As per the order issued on April 17, the committee will examine content developed by SCERT and District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) faculty prior to publication.
The panel will be chaired by the SCERT secretary and joint director, and includes officials from the Directorate of Education, DIET principals, and faculty members from SCERT headquarters and the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT.
According to its mandate, the committee will assess content based on alignment with NEP 2020 and departmental norms, academic accuracy and relevance, and audio-visual quality, with marks assigned to each parameter.
It will also recommend approval, revision or rejection of the content and suggest improvements where necessary.
