Kolkata: The Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C), on Monday said it has successfully concluded its summer internship placements, recording the highest stipend of Rs 6 lakh per month.

According to a statement from the institute, 470 students received 510 offers from 183 recruiters across various sectors. The average monthly stipend stood at Rs 1.85 lakh, while the median stipend was Rs 2 lakh per month.

The highest domestic stipend offered was Rs 4.5 lakh per month, while the highest international offer reached Rs 6 lakh per month.

Recruiters from consulting, finance, FMCG, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, software, and technology sectors participated in the placement process.

“The superior performance of the 62nd batch of MBA students resulted in yet another year of excellent summer placements. We are grateful to recruiters for their continued trust in our students and academic process,” said Ritu Mehta, Chairperson of Placement Activities.

She added that the institute remains committed to ensuring a smooth and robust placement process that benefits both students and recruiters.
