Kolkata: The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C) has secured the eighth position globally and the first in India in the QS International Trade Rankings 2026 for Executive MBAs, the institute announced on Wednesday.

The ranking evaluates institutions on multiple parameters, including trade programme content, graduate outcomes, industry engagement, innovative teaching, and academic reputation. IIM-C achieved an overall score of 78.3.

This specialised ranking is distinct from the standard QS Global MBA or Executive MBA rankings and focuses on schools that best prepare students for global trade and management roles.

IIM-C's eighth position reflects its growing prominence in international trade education within executive programmes, the statement said.

Sumanta Basu, Dean of Development and External Relations at IIM Calcutta, said, “It is encouraging to see that IIM Calcutta's Executive MBA Programme has been placed eighth globally. This recognition underscores that our students are well-prepared for global challenges and that our curriculum aligns with current international trade requirements.”
