Tiruchirappalli: Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli on Saturday held its 14th convocation ceremony, with more than 500 students graduating across various management programmes.

The event was attended by Vijay Sankar as chief guest and presided over by Board of Governors Chairman Jalaj Dani, in the presence of Director (In-charge) Dr Godwin Tennyson.

Presenting the annual report for 2025-26, Tennyson said 407 students graduated from the flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management, while 50 each completed the HR and Business Management programmes. Three scholars were awarded doctoral degrees.

He said the institute admitted 11 doctoral candidates during the year and conducted 17 research seminars, reflecting growth in its academic and research activities.

Addressing the gathering, Dani emphasised the need for clarity in decision-making amid uncertainty, urging graduates to focus on critical thinking rather than conventional measures of success.

In his convocation address, Sankar highlighted the importance of resilience, persistence and responsibility, and encouraged students to contribute meaningfully to society.

The institute said the convocation marked both academic achievement and the beginning of professional responsibilities for the graduating cohort.
