Kolkata: Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has launched a series of online executive certification programmes in artificial intelligence, machine learning and technology leadership, the institute said on Monday.

The programmes are aimed at equipping working professionals with production-ready AI capabilities and practical, job-relevant skills, according to a statement.

Among the offerings are Executive Post Graduate Certificate programmes in Generative AI and Agentic AI, and AI-Native Software Engineering, designed by the institute's Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

The courses will be delivered through live online classes by IIT-Kharagpur faculty, enabling wider access to advanced AI-focused curriculum beyond the campus.

IIT-Kharagpur Director Suman Chakraborty said rapid advancements in artificial intelligence require institutions to extend learning opportunities to professionals outside traditional classrooms.

He added that the programmes are designed for practitioners seeking to build end-to-end capabilities in developing and deploying AI systems.
