Chennai: The Department of Management Studies (DoMS), IIT Madras, has announced admissions for its two-year Executive MBA (EMBA) program designed for mid-career working professionals seeking leadership roles in modern business organizations.

The in-person program, held over alternate weekends, aims to provide participants with functional and integrative management knowledge, combining technology-driven insights with global business perspectives. Classes incorporate experiential learning through three field-based capstone projects, allowing students to apply concepts to real-world business challenges.

Eligible candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks and a minimum of three years' post-graduation work experience. Shortlisted applicants will undergo a selection process on November 8-9 at IIT Madras, comprising a written aptitude test covering business aptitude, logical reasoning, quantitative and verbal ability, followed by a personal interview.

The results will be announced in December, with classes commencing January 2026.

Applications close on October 19 and are available at DoMS IIT Madras website.

Prof. Saji K. Mathew, Head of DoMS, highlighted the program's unique advantages: technology-led learning, in-person weekend classes suitable for working professionals, and a global focus including an international immersion program at IESEG School of Management, Paris.

Dr. S. Srinivasan, EMBA Coordinator, noted that the program emphasises case-based and interdisciplinary learning, incorporating global best practices to enable students to implement tools and strategies in their current workplaces.

Students praised the program for its interactive learning and peer experience. Jemima Catherine M., a current student, said, “Conversations with classmates are akin to boardroom discussions, giving me confidence to take on leadership roles with purpose.”
