Mumbai: IITM Pravartak, in collaboration with Emeritus, has launched a professional certificate programme in Agentic AI and applications aimed at equipping professionals with skills to build autonomous artificial intelligence systems.

The five-month programme is designed for AI professionals, data scientists, developers and product managers, and will focus on building goal-oriented AI agents using tools such as LangChain, CrewAI and OpenAI frameworks, according to a statement.

Officials said the course comes amid growing demand for advanced AI skills, as highlighted by global reports on emerging job roles in decision-making and problem-solving domains.
Programme Director Madhusudhanan Baskaran said Agentic AI represents a shift towards systems capable of reasoning, planning and executing tasks autonomously across enterprise use cases.

Avnish Singhal, Executive Vice President at Emeritus, said the collaboration aims to prepare professionals for evolving AI applications beyond chat-based models.

The curriculum includes hands-on projects, coding assignments and a capstone project, along with exposure to real-world deployment of AI systems. Participants will also receive industry certifications and access to career support services.

The programme, starting May 14, will be delivered through live online sessions along with an optional campus immersion component, the statement said.
