New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said India's economic growth was creating new opportunities beyond the country's borders, as he highlighted the 7.8 per cent growth recorded in the latest quarter.
Modi made the remarks after holding talks with visiting Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever in New Delhi on strengthening bilateral ties.
The Prime Minister said India and Belgium were deepening their partnership, including cooperation in the semiconductor sector.
He also described the signing of the India-European Union free trade agreement as an important milestone in strengthening economic ties.
The two leaders discussed a range of bilateral and international issues during their meeting.
Modi said India supported efforts to bring an early end to the war in Ukraine and the conflict in West Asia.
De Wever said Belgium wanted to take its relationship with India to the next level in areas including economic and political cooperation.
He said the relationship between the two countries went beyond trade and was rooted in centuries-old historical links.
