A study reveals that one in five doctors who immigrate to the United States are from India.

According to a report by the US based organizations Remility and the Migration Policy Institute (MPI), out of the total 990,000 doctors in the U.S., 206,000 are immigrant doctors from various countries. Among these, doctors from the Philippines rank first, Mexico second, and India third.

This data indicates that 59,000 Indian doctors have immigrated to the United States for medical work, representing a significant portion of the immigrant medical workforce. Additionally, there are immigrant doctors from China, Hong Kong, and Pakistan.

The study also highlights that nursing assistants and healthcare professionals are among the top immigrants to the United States, with Indians leading this group, followed by Filipinos and Mexicans.
