New Delhi: Jaipur Rugs on Wednesday announced the launch of its annual Rug Utsav, a nationwide exhibition of handmade rugs featuring over 14,000 creations, including antiques and award-winning contemporary collections.

The festival, which began on September 3, is being held across Jaipur Rugs' flagship stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Raipur, Jaipur, Gujarat and Bengaluru, besides its online platform, the company said in a statement.

This year's curation spans signature collections such as Alam, Genesis, Savana, Concoction, Wunderkammer, Indusbar, Nomadic Threads and Contour. The highlight remains the Manchaha series — about 200 unique rugs woven directly from the imagination of rural artisans, each piece narrating a personal story.

The exhibition also features 2,000 vintage rugs (30-50 years old) and 250 antique rugs (over 100 years old), making it one of the largest showcases of its kind.

Amid global trade challenges and higher export tariffs, Jaipur Rugs said it is offering up to 60 per cent discount for the first time across its range to make designer rugs more accessible.

“Rug Utsav is not just a design showcase - it's about dignity, legacy and purpose. By offering these masterpieces at unprecedented prices, we are directly supporting the artisans who create them,” said Yogesh Chaudhary, Director, Jaipur Rugs.

Proceeds from this year's festival will go towards healthcare and clean water projects in rural weaving regions, expected to benefit thousands of artisans and their families.

Founded in 1978, Jaipur Rugs today works with over 40,000 rural artisans, 85 per cent of them women, and exports to more than 90 countries.
