Bhubaneswar (Odisha): KIIT Deemed to be University (KIIT-DU) has achieved significant milestones in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Global Rankings 2025, emerging as one of India's top-ranked institutions for its contributions towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

KIIT-DU secured the 5th position among Indian universities overall, reflecting its consistent focus on social responsibility and inclusive growth. Notably, it claimed the 1st rank in India for 'Reduced Inequalities' (SDG 10) and 'Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions' (SDG 16). It also stood 3rd in 'Quality Education' (SDG 4), highlighting its efforts to expand educational access and promote academic excellence.

This year, over 2,400 universities from 130 countries participated in the THE Impact Rankings, which assess institutions on parameters aligned with the UN SDGs. Globally, KIIT was placed in the 101 cohort, marking steady progress in international recognition.

Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta expressed pride in KIIT's performance, stating that the university's journey from humble beginnings to global standing showcases its commitment to sustainability, social equity, and continuous innovation.
