New Delhi: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has extended the deadline for submitting online applications for the National Sports Awards 2025 to November 4, 2025.

The awards include the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna, Arjuna Award, Arjuna Award (Lifetime), Dronacharya Award, and the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar (RKPP). Applications were initially invited on September 29, 2025, with the previous deadline set for October 28, 2025.

Eligible sportspersons, coaches, and entities can now self-apply online through the dedicated portal dbtyas-sports.gov.in. The Indian Olympic Association, Sports Authority of India, recognized National Sports Federations, Sports Promotion Boards, and State and Union Territory governments have also been informed of the extension.

The Ministry has emphasized that vigilance clearance is mandatory for all government servants applying for the awards. Nominations submitted after November 4, 2025 (Tuesday) will not be considered.
