New Delhi: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has invited German companies to expand their investments in India, highlighting the country's potential in innovation and sustainable manufacturing.

During his visit to Germany, Goyal held discussions with CEOs of German Mittelstand (SME) companies and Indian businesses, outlining key opportunities for collaboration in the manufacturing sector.

Speaking in Berlin, he said, “I am happy to be in discussions with CEOs of German Mittelstand companies and Indian businesses. I explained the key opportunities that India offers in innovation and sustainable production.”

Goyal also met German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katharina Reich to explore ways to strengthen trade and investment ties between the two countries. “It is a pleasure to meet Minister Reich. I discussed enhancing bilateral trade and investment, and invited German companies to increase their investments in India,” he added.

The discussions form part of India's ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment and deepen economic engagement with global partners, particularly in sectors focused on technology-driven and sustainable growth.
