New Delhi: The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) on Thursday signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with the Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement (GRAAM) for the engagement of two fellows under the Embark India Development Fellowship programme.

The SoI was signed by MoSPI Director (Training Unit, Capacity Development Division) Prasoon Verma and GRAAM Executive Director Basavaraju R Shreshta in the presence of Director General (Data Governance) P R Meshram, an official statement said.

The collaboration seeks to provide a platform for research-driven fellows to work with the ministry on ongoing and new initiatives, contributing to policy research, innovation and governance-related projects.

According to the ministry, the fellows will support efforts to develop innovative solutions through research and help address challenges related to development, capacity building and governance.

The initiative is also aimed at giving the fellows practical exposure to public policy and governance while enabling the ministry to leverage their research and analytical skills, the statement added.
