New Delhi: The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), in collaboration with the Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR), organised the DGR Job Fair 2025 here on Saturday to provide second career opportunities for veterans trained in emerging technology domains.

Held at the NIELIT Delhi Janakpuri Centre, the fair recorded registration of over 190 serving and retired armed forces personnel, with 14 participating companies screening candidates for more than 250 vacancies across roles in IT support, cybersecurity, logistics, administration and digital services.

Inaugurating the fair, Subhanshu Tiwari, Executive Director, NIELIT Delhi, highlighted the need to support the transition of ex-servicemen from uniformed service to civilian professions, terming it “a bridge between valour and vocation.” He said the platform reaffirmed NIELIT's commitment to facilitating skill-based reintegration of veterans into the workforce.

Dr Alok Tripathi, Director (Scheme & Skilling), NIELIT, welcomed participants and assured continued efforts to strengthen linkages between skilling and placement. Group Captain Sanjay Roy, Director (Training), and Lt Col Jaideep Singh, Joint Director (Training), DGR, addressed the gathering as Guests of Honour, stressing on continuous upskilling and expanding training programmes to enhance employability.

Recruiters included firms such as CyberPeace, G4S, Kaidoko, SiSProsegur, Trig and Onfinity Technologies. Many veterans expressed appreciation for the initiative which, they said, opened meaningful employment avenues post-retirement.

The job fair signified a collaborative endeavour between government institutions and industry stakeholders to empower ex-servicemen with sustainable careers under the theme: “You protected us - Now let us empower you.”
