New Delhi: OPPO India and Instagram have announced a strategic collaboration to launch the OPPO LUMO Creator Program, a platform aimed at supporting and nurturing the next generation of content creators and visual storytellers across the country.
The initiative seeks to combine OPPO's imaging technology with Instagram's content discovery ecosystem to provide creators, particularly micro and nano influencers from regional markets, with greater visibility, learning opportunities and professional growth.
As part of the collaboration, participants will have access to monthly themed content challenges, mentorship sessions, masterclasses, content amplification opportunities and certification jointly supported by OPPO and Meta.
OPPO said the programme is designed to strengthen India's rapidly growing creator economy, where smartphones have become the primary tools for content creation and storytelling.
The company also announced enhancements to the content-sharing experience on its Find X series smartphones, enabling near-lossless video uploads on Instagram. The feature is intended to preserve image quality, colour accuracy and dynamic range from capture to publication.
Speaking on the initiative, OPPO India Head of Communications Goldee Patnaik said the programme aligns with the company's "Make Your Moment" philosophy by empowering young creators to tell authentic stories and expand their reach.
Meta India's Vertical Head for Tech, Rishad Chindamada, said the partnership would help bridge smartphone innovation and creator-led storytelling while supporting grassroots creators across the country.
The OPPO LUMO Creator Program commenced on May 29, with participants invited to submit content through monthly Instagram challenges. Selected creators will receive rewards, including cash prizes, smartphones, IoT products and opportunities for wider exposure through OPPO's and Instagram's platforms.
Outstanding entries may also be showcased internationally, providing Indian creators with opportunities for global recognition, the company said.
