New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday said its post-result services portal functioned normally during the notified application period and more than 1.6 lakh candidates successfully submitted requests relating to over 3.8 lakh answer books.

In a statement posted on X, the board said the application window for verification and re-evaluation remained fully operational from June 2 to June 7 under the supervision of government technical agencies and teams from the IITs.

"During the above application period, more than 1.6 lakh candidates successfully submitted requests pertaining to over 3.8 lakh answer books, reflecting the extensive utilisation of the services by the candidates," the board said.

The CBSE said the portal remained under continuous monitoring by cybersecurity teams to guard against malicious traffic and cyber threats. It also stated that support was provided to students through helpdesks and grievance redressal mechanisms throughout the process.

The clarification comes amid media reports and social media posts raising concerns about the functioning of the post-result services portal.

Addressing complaints from some students and parents, the board said the message "Roll Number Not Found" appeared only when a candidate had not successfully applied during the first phase of the post-result services process, namely the answer book photocopy application stage.

The board reiterated that only candidates who had applied for scanned copies of their answer books during the earlier stage were eligible to seek verification of issues observed and re-evaluation of answers.

The CBSE has recently faced scrutiny after some Class 12 students alleged that scanned copies of answer sheets uploaded by the board did not match their handwriting, raising concerns over possible mismatches in the OSM system.

Last week, the Cabinet Secretariat announced the formation of a one-member committee to investigate the procurement of services related to the OSM system by the CBSE.
