Chennai: Over 350 students and parents attended the annual Education in Ireland fair at Taj Connemara, Chennai, aimed at promoting Irish higher education institutions.

The event featured 21 universities and colleges, offering guidance on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across technology, healthcare, business, arts, humanities, sustainability, and emerging industries.

Participants also received insights into scholarships, research opportunities, visa processes, and Ireland's post-study work environment, reflecting the country's growing appeal among Indian students.

Elizabeth McHenry, Regional Manager - Asia, Education in Ireland, said, “The turnout in Chennai has been phenomenal. This enthusiasm highlights Ireland's recognition as a hub for world-class education with industry-linked work opportunities. Last year, over 10,000 Indian students chose Ireland, and we hope to continue this momentum.”

The Irish Visa Office conducted a seminar on student visa applications, providing clarity on documentation, timelines, and financial planning for students, parents, and education agents.
